Bible Authority

The Bible is not the personal opinion of the men who penned it (2 Peter 1:21; 2 Timothy 3:16).  In fact, they did not always understand everything that was divinely revealed to them (1 Peter 1:10-12; Daniel 12:8-9).  This most popular book of all time reveals God's expectations for mankind and grooms people into God's children.

Any church that desires to be acknowledged as the Lord's church should do all "in the name of the Lord" (by the authority of the Lord), as revealed in scriptures (Colossians 3:17).  As God's wisdom is superior to ours, our actions ought to be rooted in scripture, as whatever is not of faith is sin (Romans 14:23).  Faith is not a gut feeling.  It is a conviction based on a trust in God and his word (Romams 10:17; Hebrews 11:1).  Without faith it is impossible to please God, so let us all diligently seek his will (Hebrews 11:6) .
